Dr. Jerry Gilfoyle
University of Richmond

My research is focussed on the experimental program at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Laboratory to explore the quark nature of matter. We now know that quarks are the fundamental constituents of matter, but we do not understand how they bind together to form protons, neutrons, and atomic nuclei. For more details go to the following links.

Dr. Mike Vineyard

My research interests are in electromagnetic nuclear physics at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, and are focussed on the experimental program with the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer in Hall B. The basic goal of this research is to explore and elucidate the quark structure of matter. Check out the following links for more information on my work at Jefferson Lab.

Dr.Luminita Tudor
Carnegie-Mellon University

My experiments are designed to probe and study hadronic structure in an energy regime that is close to the real world. We have experiments that look for exotic objects such as Glueballs, as well as experiments that try to study the strangeness content of ordinary matter.

Dr. Dave Jenkins
Virginia Tech

I am participating in experiments at the 6-GeV electron accelerator at Jefferson Lab in Newport News which will extend photodisintegration measurements and pion photoproduction experiments to much higher energies where the implications of quantum chromodynamics can be studied. Other experiments at TJNAF include a test of the Drell Hearn Sum rule and vector meson photoproduction.
