Overview
There are two cluster facilities at the University of Richmond. Both are clusters of personal computers running Linux. The Prototype cluster uses the DQS queuing system and the Research cluster uses Beowulf.

Each clusters is located in its won dedicated room in the Physics Department of the University of Richmond. The room holding the Research cluster has an air conditioning system with a 5-ton unit (approximately 60,000 btu total capacity). The room holding the Prototype cluster uses only the standard research laboratory cooling.
