I love Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, a production brewery. They have events every week and new beer release very often. You must need to check out their website and see what's going on. They always hold live music and special events, like yoga class. You can buy their signature beers in local groceries but I would ask why don't you drink it fresh? The place was expanded and have more indoor seating spaces. Moreover, Hardywood serves as a host to fundraising events such as twilight 4 miler every April. Hardywood Food Truck Court opens every Thursday.

The Triple Crossinghere in Richmond, VA, close to VCU. I love their cozy atmosphere. Outdoor deck seating is a great place to relax and hang out. I went to there for a private event. Host allowed to bring all take-out food such as pizza, fired chicken, cookies and so on and we tried different beers. Staffs were very nice and helpful. One of them let me taste several beers and I could pick one I liked. Although the place is not as big as Hardywood, live music performance is available once every week. Ardent Craft Ale is located in Scott's Addition and opens 7 days a week. I joined tour of the Ardent brewing facility and found staff knowledgeable and personable. Taproom is simple and neat. I love their sample beer square tray that is easy to match up your sample order form that you selected beer type. The beer garden is beautiful in the evening and you could see fireworks from the baseball stadium. I love ginger honey and sweet potato. They offer a selection of small plates and snacks but you are welcome to bring in food. Dogs are welcome in beer garden and children are too. This is awesome. Parking is available.
