De Do Do Do
November 13, 1998

The Banner site launched officially today. Lee got the server information we needed and loaded the web pages. Once everything was in place, he contacted Bill (our Web Manager) to link our site into the main IS site. I made a few cosmetic changes, and Kelley even managed to load her home pages into her web account. No pictures of minivans so far.

My home computer is back to where it was before my failed attempt to get my scanner working. I will now RTFM before putting the PCI/SCSI card into my chassis again. It's so nice to have everything again! I didn't even have to reformat my hard drive. Always look on the bright side of life.

It's also nice to be back on the Internet from home as well as work. I've got lots of net-things to work on this weekend. I'll be touching up most all of my main web pages, and finishing up with the restoration of the smaller programs on my computer.

Tonight Jean has been going through some more of our photos, dating and organizing them. It's been two or three years since either of us really went through our collection (we had 18 undeveloped rolls of film a month ago). Baby's got us interested in looking at photos and having new ones taken. One of the rolls we developed was black and white and every picture seemed ten times better than the color pictures. I'm going to try to find some black and white film this weekend so I can take more. If I ever get my scanner on-line, I'll have some of the images on the web.

It was cloudy this morning, and cool. Since I had my computer on campus today I didn't walk home. When I got home tonight I noticed that the vacuum truck had been by, sucking all the leaves out of the gutter by the road. I guess I'll just rake this weekend as planned and hope that the truck comes back before the leaves restore themselves.

Listening: Message in a Box (Police)

Reading: Nothing tonight (computer restoration almost complete)
