Schedule of Readings and Assignments
The dates listed here are for Dr. Gruber's Truman State University class meetings. (To see the dates for Dr. McWhorter's UR class, click here.) Dates marked with a ^ will be assigned for student presentations. Other dates may also be assigned, dependent on enrollments, or they may be available for presentations for "extra credit." Dates marked with a # are dates on which papers are due so that we can begin the posting and seminar critique of the papers. See the description of the short paper.
Given the complexity of the logistics in coordinating these two seminars, this schedule may be changed to meet our mutual needs. Other readings, particularly from the Anthropology from a Pragmatic Point of View, may be added to the course.
