Some notes on terminology:

Terms based on position. The structures illustrated here are located at the base of the leaf blade (hence "basilaminar"), essentially at the point of attachment between lamina and petiole. They could just as accurately be descirbed as "acropetiolar" glands.

Terms based on shape. The round-oval shape resembling a knee-cap has inspired terms like "patelliform," and the slightly elevated rim around the secretory surface is the basis of the term "crateriform."
