Modern Physics

G.P.Gilfoyle, Instructor

Modern Physics (Physics 205) is an exploration of natural phenomena that were undiscovered and/or unexplained until the twentieth century. This page contains materials related to the course including homework assignments, problem sets, and solutions to some of the assigned homework problems. The picture above is an artist's rendering of the notion of quantum entanglement where particle states are linked together across spacetime. It is at the heart of the difference between classical physics and quantum mechanics and is one of the topics in this course.
