HOEGH, LEO ARTHUR: United States. 1958-1961. Director of the Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization in the Eisenhower Administration. Born in 1908 in Audubon, Iowa, he served as a member of the Iowa State House of Representatives in 1937, as an Army officer during World War II, as Attorney General of Iowa in 1953-1954, and as Republican Governor of Iowa in 1955-1957. He died in 2000 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
