When working with equations during assignment of a variable, we have to be careful of our order of operations.
The order of operations follows the standard PEMDAS rule:
1. Parentheses
2. Exponents
3. Multiplication and Division (from left to right)
4. Addition and Subtraction (from left to right)
You can always split up complex expressions into multiple statements if you are unsure of the order of operations.
