UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND

FACULTY SEMINAR 1998

INDIA

The monks who attend the Gompas live in houses built on the side of the mountains, next to the monastaries.

Prayer wheel and flags are seen all over this region.

Ladakh is an agriculturally based community, however, the rapid influx of visitors is quickly

changing the traditional ways.

Last, but certainly not least, one cannot travel across India without enjoying the exquisite Indian cuisine.

No doubt, we enjoyed this part of the trip too!
