In honor of Martin Luther King Day in 2009, Dr. Gill Hickman and I gave a presentation on growing up in Alabama during the Civil Rights Movement. You can listen to the pod cast of our discussion.

As a member of the Department of Philosophy, I am normally involved in all programs and events that my department sponsors. These include: guest lecturers, activities of the Philosophy Club and the Philosophy Honor Society Phi Sigma Tau, and advising for majors and minors and indeed any student interested in graduate study in Philosophy. I am a charter member of the University of Richmond Chapter of Safe Zone Virginia, an organization devoted to eliminating heterosexism and homophobia on university campuses.
