Finding a File or Folder
Windows 95 has a very useful search utility to help you locate files
and programs. To access the Find program:
- Click the Start button
- Select Find
- Click Files Or Folders
- Make sure the Name & Location tab is active
- Put the name of the drive you want to search in the Look in:
dialog box. e.g. C:
- .In the Named box, type all or part of the file's name. If you
do not know the name of a file or want to refine the search, click the
Date Modified tab or the Advanced tab. The Advanced option
lets you search for files contained specific text strings. When you are
satisfied with the selection criterion click Find Now.
- If you want the search to be case-sensitive, click the Options
menu and make sure the Case Sensitive box is checked.
You may also press the F3 key to launch the Find program instead
of going through the Start menu.
