REQUIRED MATERIALS
1. A love of
singing choral music.
2. Pencil
3. Folders
with music: loaned to each member for the semester.
4. Formal wear (see guidelines below)
5. Choir robe: loaned to each member for the semester as assigned by the Robe Mistress.
GRADING
1. Every
member begins the semester with an A.
2. Every
member receives three (3) absences from Regular Rehearsals without penalty. No distinction is made between excused and
unexcused absences, except in the case of severe illness or family emergencies;
in these instances, students must submit a doctor=s or
dean=s excuse to Dr. Riehl to have the absence(s)
excused. Also, the cast and crew members
of University Players productions are excused from Choir events during the week
a show opens.
3. Each
absence from a Regular Rehearsal beyond the initial three will lower a student=s grade by one-third of a letter, i.e. four absences
from regular rehearsals would result in the grade A- for the semester.
4. Each
absence from a Chapel Performance counts as two (2) absences.
5. Absence
from a Dress Rehearsal or Performance is cause for dismissal from the course
with an F.
6. Habitual
tardiness will negatively effect the semester grade.
