Pseudolarix - Golden Larch
Trees with dimorphic branches; needle leaves flat,
2-3 mm wide and 3-7 cm long, scattered on young growth of long
shoots near branch tips or clustered/tufted on short shoots (spur
shoots) of older branches; seed cones held erect on branches,
mature within one season, shatter at maturity (to disperse seeds).
