Cryptomeria - Japanese Cedar, Sugi
Trees; leaves needle-like, alternate, curved away from
the stem and pointing toward the shoot apex; cones globose, about
1.5-2.5 cm in diameter; cone scales somewhat irregular with projecting
hooks and bristles and a distinctly narrrowed base.
