1. Read Peter Unger, "An Argument for Skepticism"

2. Write a 3 -4 page critical response that utlizes at least one of the following strategies:

1. A counterexample, either real or hypothetical, to one of X's main claims.
2. X's argument is invalid.
3. One of the premises of X's argument is not true (or is not adequately supported).

Be sure that the strategy you have chosen is obvious to your reader.

3. Other guidelines:

• You should assume that the reader of your paper has not read "An Argument for Skepticism".
• Don't forget a clear and precise setup and goal statement.
• A brief roadmap may be helpful, but in a paper of this short length is not necessary.
