XIX. Translate each of the following sentences into PL.

  1. Andrea is both intelligent and beautiful, but not rich.
  2. Bentley is neither rich, nor beautiful, nor intelligent.
  3. If Bentley is intelligent, so are Deirdre and Andrea.
  4. Andrea loves Bentley but despises Charles.
  5. Andrea loves herself and Charles and despises both Bentley and Deirdre.
  6. Charles likes Bentley if and only if Bentley is both shorter than Charles and is rich.
  7. If Deirdre is shorter than Charles and Charles is shorter than Andrea, then Deirdre is shorter than Andrea.
  8. If Bentley desires Deirdre and she desires him, then they love each other.
  9. If Charles is neither rich nor beautiful nor intelligent, then no one loves him.
  10. Everything is black.
  11. Someone loves Mike, but not everyone loves Mike.
  12. Everyone will study, but not everyone will pass.
  13. If Gertrude passes, then someone will not pass.
  14. Not everyone will pass, but Michelle will.
  15. Some, but not all, will pass.
  16. No one will pass if Gertrude doesn't pass, and Gertrude won't pass unless everyone studies.
  17. Some will pass only if everyone studies.
  18. Everyone studying is a necessary condition for everyone passing.
  19. Mike is honest unless George is honest, in which case not everyone is honest.
  20. Gertrude will pass if and only if not everyone will pass.
