Visiting Catherine in Izmir, Turkey, August 2021



During the summer of 2021 I visited Catherine who was working in Turkey for an organization called KEP which seeks to empower disadvantaged women in the city of Izmir.

The Agorra in Izmir built first by the Greeks in the 4th century BCE. And rebuilt by the Romans around 200 AD after an earthquake.

Spent a day touring the ancient city of Efes including the gymnasium above. The agorra at Efes.

We visited Troy. And crossed the Dardanelles on the ferry going from Asia to Europe.
