will find some of these linked into the course syllabus, with suggestions for
reading. Listed here you will find some of the most comprehensive general sites
I have found; please let me know if you find others you think should be listed
here. I have not listed commercial sites; I've tried, here, to stick to the
scholarly community--which, as you will see, is vast and diverse. Enjoy!

Child_Lit--this
is the website for the Child_Lit discussion group, a listserv for students,
professors, and readers of children's literature.
Newbery Classroom Home--a
great listing of other resources in children's literature, including a very
complete listing of author and illustrator sites.
The
Children's Literature Web Guide--another
excellent site linking to a variety of other sites for children's literature,
including "Web-Traveller's
Toolkit: Essential Kid Lit Websites," listings of recent Newbery and
Caldecott award winners, Readers' Theatre, and other useful links.
Fairrosa's
Cyber Library of Children's Literature is
a terrific site with lots of wonderful links--very comprehensive and fun to
explore. The "Reading
Room" is a vast collection of on-line children's literature.
