1. Follow the instructions in the manual to set up the apparatus and hook up the electronics.
   
   
2. Use the USB cable to connect with the computer. Do NOT connect this until step 5 below.
   
   
3. Download the two zip files (muonSoftware-18-feb-23.zip and CDMv2.12.28WHQLCertified.zip) at the end of the overview here to your Desktop and double-click each one and click "Extract All".
4. On your computer go to the My PC icon, right click on the icon, and select Manage.
   
   
5. You should get a new window. On the left-hand side of that window select Device Manager. You should see a long list fo devices.
   
   
6. Plug in the USB cable. You should see it appear on the device list with a "USB<-->Serial" icon.
   
   
   1. Right-click on the "USB<-->Serial" icon.
   2. Select Update Driver.
   3. Browse to and select the CDM v2.12.28 WHQL Certified folder.
   4. Click "Next" and you should get a message proclaiming success!
   5. Repeat the install (steps 1-3). You should see something like USB serial Port (COM3) appear in the device list.
